Preface

After reading the title of this book, a common question that will arise in everyone's mind is: what is the difference between a YouTuber and an educational YouTuber? After all, the platform is the same and everyone has to make videos, so what kind of different knowledge should an educational YouTuber have compared to other YouTubers? The criteria for success, planning, video uploading, and marketing should be the same for both. This is the thinking where most educational YouTubers fail.

The need for education

Education is not just a noble act, but it is also essential from every perspective. Good education makes a person independent, breaking various barriers and making them free. They start demanding freedom and begin to appreciate the freedom of others. This eliminates the law of the jungle and creates an environment where everyone gets an equal opportunity, and human life progresses. Therefore, education is a necessity for every person without which their own progress and the progress of society is not possible. That's why the right to education is a fundamental right in our constitution.

Even if someone doesn't understand the importance of education, the reality is that if they are breathing fresh air and using various forms of entertainment today, it is because of education. That's why I consider educational YouTubers different from other YouTubers.

The measure of success

The measure of success for other YouTubers can be money, views, comments, etc., but for an educational YouTuber, success is measured by the impact they have on their audience's learning.

For example, I started teaching on YouTube because there were no resources available to learn programming in Hindi, and I am proud that I have been able to teach programming to many people who had given up. If money were the measure of my success, I would not continue teaching on YouTube.

I know a woman who can guide children with autism and can help them to a great extent with their problems. Her videos may not be watched 10-12 times a month. But can the success of these videos be measured? If her videos help only one student with autism in the whole month, then I will consider her successful because the purpose of making the videos is being fulfilled.

If a single measure is established for everyone's success, many people will give up their own work and everything will become imbalanced. Youth stuck at the border will leave their jobs, most teachers will stop teaching, farmers will stop farming, and every homemaker will stop doing household chores.

The issue of an Educational YouTuber

If we ask ten stand-up comedians to talk about the same topic, "the day of Raksha Bandhan for brothers and sisters," they can present ten different acts, and the audience will be excited to listen to all ten comedians. On the other hand, if we ask ten teachers to teach the same topic, "Pythagoras' Theorem," it is possible that the first teacher may require students to listen attentively, but once students have understood the theorem, they may not be interested in listening to the rest of the teachers.

This is why the problem of an educational YouTuber is different from that of other YouTubers, and this book will help you understand and find a solution to this problem.
